Our Advanced Rental option is designed for intermediate-level players or those who seek to upgrade from our Standard rental option. These instruments are specifically selected for their superior sound quality and performance capabilities.

The advanced instruments are crafted with high-grade tonewoods, which contribute to a richer and more resonant sound. Additionally, they come with an enhanced bow, offering better responsiveness and control for the player. These features ensure an enjoyable playing experience and enable musicians to further develop their skills and techniques.

You can rent an instrument for just a month or for as long as you want.

Rental fees accumulate rental income (rental fee = rental income) . For up to 18 months you can accumulate rental income, which you can use within 30 days of the end of the rental period to buy an instrument from How Violins.

Up to 50% of the purchase price of the instrument can be paid with the rental credit. For example, if you have a credit of €500 and you want to buy a €1000 instrument, you can use all your credit and pay only €500. On the other hand, if you chose to buy a €500 instrument, you could only use €250 of your credit and pay the remaining €250 for the instrument.

The purpose of this section is to provide a rough estimate of the size of the instrument your child needs. Please note, however, that this is an approximation only. For best results, we recommend that you consult the How Violins staff or your teacher before purchasing your instrument. The size classification of the cellos is a bit more complicated than for violins or violas. The student should sit on the edge of the chair with the knees bent at ninety degrees. The top edge of the instrument body should be in the middle of the chest (sternum) and the tuning peg should be slightly above the left ear. The knee will be slightly compressed into the lower part of the player in such a way that pressing on the edges of the legs (the angles will be slightly above the inside of the knee). The student has to reach both ends of the board easily. The table below shows the average size by age. Please note that there are two different size standards for cellos. The scale of the Suzuki size standard is on average one size smaller than the traditional European size standard.
